A real-life Spiderman, who lives in the southern Indian state of Karnataka, jyothi raj karnataka, 22 years old is often compared to the superhero by tourists at India’s Chitradurga Fort where he performs. Jyothi Raj has the amazing ability of being able to stick to a wall upside-down. The daredevil climber is a hero in India wowing crowds by scaling heights of up to 300ft without a harness. Everybody know him as a Desi Indian Spiderman.

The former construction worker discovered his climbing ability four years ago while scaling bamboo scaffolding. Convinced that his talent for climbing is a gift from the gods, Jyothi says he has never had an accident, he taught himself how to climb by watching monkeys climb trees. He also says, his agility has been enhanced by analyzing stunts from his favorite movies. “My ability to see the foothold that others can’t is proof to me that I was born to climb,” explains Jyothi.

Jyothi Raj trains every day to improve his upper body strength…and he uses yoga to maintain his flexibility. Jyothi says that his family are tolerant of his climbing, believing that he is in full control at all times.

Jyothi Raj has never used safety equipment (Only chalk powder) to climb with instead he prefers to hone his climbing skills on the notoriously dangerous building sites of India. Nowadays he entertains crowds at the Chitradurga fort complex: “I love to see their faces when I position myself upside down,” he says.

Having climbed the walls and rock faces in and around the fort complex, Jyothi is keen to test himself further. Now he wishes to become recognized as the world’s best climber. He says he wants to move on and climb buildings and mountains. He admires French free-climber Alain Robert, wishing to emulate his success by proving his climbing ability to the world.

Risab Dev Ghimire: Amazing Boy in Nepal

This is an amazing story out of Nepal from the BBC. Januk Ghimire's son Risab Dev Ghimire, who is seven months old, has a headless "parasitic twin" attached to his abdomen and was born with extra limbs in Ramechhap, Nepal. Now thousands of people are making the pilgrimage to his small village, where some are honoring him as a god.

Some believe that Risab is the reincarnation of Ganesh, the Hindu elephant God. Ganesh is often portrayed as having several arms. Risab Dev Ghimire was born with four arms and four legs. The impoverished are worried that some see the baby not as a blessing but a curse — the reason why monsoon rains are late.

Risab's mother says that her pregnancy was a hard one, and she was in a great deal of pain before his birth. She told reporters that if it hadn't been for her husband's presence, neighbors might have killed her for being a witch after giving birth to the child. She hopes that someday Risab can have a normal life, but his father says it's unlikely they'll ever have enough money to get him the operation he will need to remove the extra limbs. Cases like Risab's are extremely rare, and occur when twins fail to separate completely from one another.

Ian Bothwell: Death From Picking His Nose Too Much

63 year old Ian Bothwell died because he picked his nose so much he bled to death. The coroner, said: "There is no explanation for this death other than he died from a nose-bleed, consistent with picking his nose. I do not think for a moment he knew what he was doing was going to cause his death." He recorded a verdict of misadventure.

A pathologist concluded that Mr Ian Bothwell, who suffered from dementia brought on by alcoholism, had picked his nose so much that it had caused him to bleed to death.

His body was found by John Edwards, the manager of the Royal Court block of flats in Ladybarn near Didsbury, Manchester – where Mr. Bothwell lived alone – on 5th September. When he found him Mr. Bothwell’s nasal cavity was full of blood.

Jose Mestre : The Man With No Face

A victim of horrific facial disfigurement - known as "the man with no face" - has been given new hope by the advancement of medical science.

Jose Mestre, from Lisbon, Portugal, has been losing his face to a huge growth for the past 35 years, distorting it out of all recognition - and it's still growing. Jose has one of the most extreme facial tumours ever seen in medical history. The tumor on 51-year-old Jose's face is a collection of blood vessels that have expanded, producing a raised red area on the skin.

Jose Mestre was born with a strawberry-coloured birthmark on his upper lip. At puberty it began growing, eventually smothering his lips, nose and one of his eyes. Now it is 33cm long and weighs 3kg. But Jose's religious faith - as a Jehovah's Witness he refuses to accept a blood transfusion - has prevented him from having surgery to remove the growth. Unemployed Jose is blind in one eye as a result of the giant weeping growth that has consumed his features.



Jose's rare condition was the subject of a Discovery Channel TV documentary 'The Man With No Face', part of the 'My Shocking Story' series. It reveals how top medical experts in London have now held out hope of helping Jose, a well-known figure around the streets of Lisbon. A leading British surgeon has offered to treat Jose using ultrasound waves to coagulate the blood before the operation. This should remove the risk of heavy bleeding - satisfying his religious beliefs about blood transfusions in the process. Dr. Iain Hutchison, of St Bartholomew's in London, is confident an operation with a harmonic scalpel could make him look a lot more normal.

Discovery Channel said: "Surrounded by a loving family, it seems incredible that he has not been treated and his face was allowed to grow so big. However, through years of medical misinformation, some misdiagnosis, lack of finances, and reluctance to undergo treatment due to religious beliefs, the growth has continued to obliterate his face." My Shocking Story follows Jose on a journey through Europe to seek medical advice for one last chance to stop his face from suffocating him.

In this journey of a lifetime he travels by train, via Paris to Britain to meet the top experts in London. He goes through a series of tests, consultations, and meets other patients with a similar affliction. In London he also spends time with his sister Guida and the rest of his family, enjoys being a tourist in London, while making the biggest decision of his life.

Jose's dream is to live a long and normal life. Following the showing of the Discovery documentary he continues to adhere to his 'no blood transfusion' religious principles. But he has agreed to go back to the London hospital, when doctors hope to carry out specialist surgery to begin removing parts of his tumor, without the need for blood transfusions.

Vijay Sharma – The most flexible man

Vijay Sharma can bend his own body in the most amazing ways. Actually, Vijay has earned the nickname “Rubber Man” in his native Rajasthan in India, for performing incredible flexibility stunts. Vijay is able to wrap his legs over his head, wind his arms around his back, crawl his body through a tennis racket and even drink from a coke bottle held between his toes. The 27-year-old shop assistant says his passion for extreme flexibility tricks comes from watching Jackie Chan movies when he was a kid.

Vijay Sharma discovered his unusual talents when he began taking martial arts lessons, so he could follow in the footsteps of his idol. He started crawling into tight spaces, curling up in boxes, and before he knew it, he was earning the title of “Rubber Man” in the Limca Book of records. That’s India’s version of the Guinness Book of Records and he is now hoping to get recognized in the Guinness Book of World Records.



"It was when I was training for martial arts as a boy that I realized my body was so bendable I might be capable of setting a world record in flexibility,” Vijay recently said. The most flexible man, who admits he would do "anything for fame" has already appeared on local TV shows, but is now looking to go international with his art.

With Elhers-Danlos Syndrome, the collagen that strengthens the skin and determines its elasticity becomes defective, resulting in, among other things, a loosening of the skin, and "hypermobility" of the joints. In more serious cases, it can cause the fatal collapse or rupturing of blood vessels.



Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome is a group of inherited connective tissue disorders, caused by a defect in the synthesis of collagen (a protein in connective tissue). Connective tissue helps support the skin, muscles, ligaments and organs of the body. Depending on the individual mutation, the severity of the syndrome can vary from mild to life-threatening. There is no known cure. Treatment is supportive.

A Man with Big Head- Sain Mumtaz

Sain Mumtaz has the most extraordinary big head – but what is causing its extreme growth and how Sain might be treated is a total mystery. This terribly disfigured man lives around 100km from the Pakistani city of Lahore on the road to the town of Narowal.

Sain was told as a child that he suffered from Proteus syndrome – the same condition as Joseph Merrick, the original Elephant Man. But Proteus is renowned for affecting only one side of the body, to the trained eye the symmetrical deformity of Sain’s face and skull suggests he is probably suffering from a different condition– but which of the many rare congenital dysmorphologies could it be?

Sain’s family sought no medical intervention for their son throughout his childhood, but now Sain is 18, and he wants to know what is wrong with him, and whether anything might be done to improve his day-to-day life. He has hopes for his future, one day he would like to run a rickshaw business, but he sees no place for marriage in his life. He believes that he is the way he is because God has cursed him. It’s for him and him alone to bear the weight of the curse.

Leading Australian clinical geneticist, Dr Edwin Kirk (see below), from the Sydney Children's Hospital and the University of New South Sales, in Australia, has extensive experience of diagnosing extreme congenital deformities. He is keen to travel to Pakistan to meet this big head man Sain, now 18 years old, and to test, scan and diagnose the condition that is causing his problems. Back in Australia he would consult with expert clinician Dr Glen Marshall about which treatment would suit Sain best.

Is there any drug based treatment that could help this rare case? Would Sain accept the idea of corrective surgery? Are there practical suggestions to be made that could improve his daily life?

Eye replaced by Digital Camera

Canadian film maker Rob Spence, who damaged his right eye in a childhood accident, is determined to replace it with a digital camera. "Team Eyeborg" has just succeeded in fitting Spence with an artificial eye containing a working LED – a step towards a camera-containing synthetic eye.

Rob Spence fitted a camera in his eye and turned himself into a walking camera.

Spence and engineer Kosta Gramatis have succeeded in placing a working red LED in Spence's eye giving him a look similar from Arnold Schwarzenegger's cyborg in The Terminator.

This camera will record everything that enters Spence's field of vision and relay the footage back to a computer. That video will provide a unique perspective on the way video surveillance is becoming more popular in western societies. This image shows the components of the camera now present in his eye.

The two-headed bobtail lizard (a type of skink native to Australia, also known as the Shingleback) was rescued in Coogee, New South Wales, by workers from a reptile park. Now housed at the reptile park in Henley Brook, Perth, it's doing well - despite the fact that two headed lizards tend to not have very long life expectancies.

The lizard - which doesn't just have two heads, but has a set of forelegs on either side of each head - is even able to eat with both mouths. The major downside of having two heads is that it makes moving around quite difficult, and the larger of the two heads has a tendency to try and attack the smaller head.

The bobtail's brother, who has just the one head, is also housed at the park.

When a colony of driver ants encounters a male, they tear its wings off and carry it back to the nest to be mated with the queen.

The army ant genus Dorylus, also known as driver ants, safari ants, or siafu, is found primarily in central and east Africa, although the range also extends to tropical Asia. Unlike the New World members of the subfamily Ecitoninae, members of this genus do form temporary anthills lasting from a few days up to three months. Each colony can contain over 20 million individuals. As with their New World counterparts, there is a soldier class among the workers, which is larger, with a very large head and pincer-like mandibles. They are capable of stinging, but very rarely do so, relying instead on their powerful shearing jaws.

The World's Oldest Father -21st Child At Age Of 90

The world's oldest father has done it again, fathering a child for at least the 21st time, at the age of 90. Isn't it Unbelievable News?

Indian farmer Nanu Ram Jogi, who is married to his fourth wife, boasts he does not want to stop, and plans to continue producing children until he is 100. But his fourth wife Saburi says she has had enough after delivering 13 children.

Nanu Ram Jogi is revered by the menfolk of Paanchimli village in the western desert state of Rajasthan where the nonagenarian lives with 109 members of his extended family, including 20 grandchildren.

Mr. Jogi admits he is not certain how many children his series of four wives have borne him - but counts at least 12 sons and nine daughters and 20 grandchildren.

Two-week-old daughter Girija Rajkumari is the latest addition to the proud father's family. "Women love me," Jogi said. "I want to have more children. I can survive another few decades and want to have children till I am 100 - then maybe I will stop."

The world's oldest father Mr. Jogi attributes his vitality to "the miracle of camel milk" and a carnivorous diet of lamb, rabbit and chicken.

Mr Jogi fathered his eldest daughter, Sita Devi, in 1943. His latest wife, Saburi, who has given him seven children, was first married to his eldest son Shiv Lal, who died 10 years ago.

Speaking from the family home in a remote village in Rajasthan, she said:"At first I didn't want to stay here after my husband died. But Nanu promised to look after me and now we have seven children."

Jogi's children and grandchildren live in six houses attached to his two-storey family home. He said: "I have a perfect life - with so many children and grandchildren all around me, it keeps me young."

He has had to sell patches of farmland to take care of his ever-expanding family but now a number of his children have become bread-winners.
