It's Male driver ants, sometimes known as "sausage flies" due to their bloated, sausage-like abdomens, are the largest known ants, and were originally believed to be members of a different species. Males leave the colony soon after hatching, but are drawn to the scent trail left by a column of siafu once it reaches sexual maturity. When a colony of driver ants encounters a male, they tear its wings off and carry it back to the nest to be mated with the queen.

The army ant genus Dorylus, also known as driver ants, safari ants, or siafu, is found primarily in central and east Africa, although the range also extends to tropical Asia. Unlike the New World members of the subfamily Ecitoninae, members of this genus do form temporary anthills lasting from a few days up to three months. Each colony can contain over 20 million individuals. As with their New World counterparts, there is a soldier class among the workers, which is larger, with a very large head and pincer-like mandibles. They are capable of stinging, but very rarely do so, relying instead on their powerful shearing jaws.

Indian farmer Nanu Ram Jogi, who is married to his fourth wife, boasts he does not want to stop, and plans to continue producing children until he is 100. But his fourth wife Saburi says she has had enough after delivering 13 children.

Nanu Ram Jogi is revered by the menfolk of Paanchimli village in the western desert state of Rajasthan where the nonagenarian lives with 109 members of his extended family, including 20 grandchildren.

Mr. Jogi admits he is not certain how many children his series of four wives have borne him - but counts at least 12 sons and nine daughters and 20 grandchildren.

Two-week-old daughter Girija Rajkumari is the latest addition to the proud father's family. "Women love me," Jogi said. "I want to have more children. I can survive another few decades and want to have children till I am 100 - then maybe I will stop."

The world's oldest father Mr. Jogi attributes his vitality to "the miracle of camel milk" and a carnivorous diet of lamb, rabbit and chicken.

Mr Jogi fathered his eldest daughter, Sita Devi, in 1943. His latest wife, Saburi, who has given him seven children, was first married to his eldest son Shiv Lal, who died 10 years ago.

Speaking from the family home in a remote village in Rajasthan, she said:"At first I didn't want to stay here after my husband died. But Nanu promised to look after me and now we have seven children."

Jogi's children and grandchildren live in six houses attached to his two-storey family home. He said: "I have a perfect life - with so many children and grandchildren all around me, it keeps me young."

He has had to sell patches of farmland to take care of his ever-expanding family but now a number of his children have become bread-winners.

Car Accidents in Google Street View

Last week Google updated their Street View coverage to include Chicago, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Portland and Tucson – bringing the total number of Street View cities up to 15.

So far the most dramatic discovery in these new images has been made in Arizona and Phoenix where the Google Street View Van come across some little serious car accidents involving few prime cars.

Dramatically, the speed of the impact has actually flipped the Range Rover right over onto its roof. Fortunately however it doesn’t look like there were any serious injuries on this occasion, as by the time the Google Street View Van approaches a policeman is already on scene, but there doesn’t appear to be an ambulance around anywhere.

Guinness Rishi getting tattoos of all national flags on his body

The 67-year-old Guinness Rishi wants to enter the Guinness Book of World Records by tattooing the flags of all the countries in the world on his body. He is planning to cover himself in 220 different banners in his quest to become a walking global flag-pole.

Already sporting six tattoos, (Union Jack, Indian, USA, Cyprus, Indian Congress Party, Canada) on his face, Guinness, who changed his name in honor of the famous record book, believes that he will be finished in three years.

He plans to cover his head and face with the most important one-inch flags before inking from his neck down in alphabetical order.


"I am tattooing my entire body including my private parts, but I am not sure which flag I will be sticking there. In the first phase, I believe that I can put 60 tattoos on head and then we will start working on my body. People consider me an extraordinary person, not an ordinary person," he said.

An obsessive record breaker, Guinness already holds four certified world bests and feels that this will be a crowning glory for India.

Over the course of three years, Guinness’ tattoos will set him back more than $20 000, which he believes is a small price to pay for his eventual achievement.

Guinness also built the tallest sugar cube tower in the world, which stood at 64 inches.
