Sultan Kosen - Tallest Man In The World

Turkish farm labourer Sultan Kosen is the presently Worlds tallest man from 2009, approved by Guinness World Records. He born on 10th December, 1982 in Mardin, Turkey and holds the Guinness World Record for tallest living male in the world at 2.51 meter (8 ft 3 inches).

The world's tallest man Sultan Kosen have finally stopped growing at a towering 8ft 3inch due to a pioneering new treatment. He suffers from the rare disorder acromegaly which causes his body to continually produce the growth hormone.

Sultan Kosen's condition was thought to have been caused by a tumor in the pituitary gland which is located in bottom of the hypothalamus at the base of the brain. Doctors though they had cured him in 2008 when they removed the tumor but he continued to grow at a rate of half and inch a year. But researchers at the University of Virginia Medical Center, who have developed a new treatment after he visited in 2010, say he has finally stopped growing.

Sultan Kosen who wears size 28 shoes, is one of only ten people ever to top 8ft and the first in a decade. When other children were little more than 4ft, he was already well over 6ft. 'The kids used to tease me and I found that very difficult,' he said on a trip to the UK in 2010.

At one point in the movie, the wounded Gamera is transported via a military truck to a research facility. The circulating image is apparently taken from this part of the movie.

Removed Extra Limbs Surgery of a Baby Boy Who Was Born with Six Legs in Karachi

Doctors in Karachi hospital have successfully removed the extra limbs of a baby boy who was born with six legs. "The Surgery lasted for about two hours, and the baby is now in stable condition." doctors at the National Institute of Child Health (NICH) in Karachi said.





Birth defects like the Mermaid syndrome, a deformity where the legs are fused together. Craniopagus, a phenomenon where twins are joined at the head, and Dicephalic parapagus, a condition of having two heads, occur rarely but prove challenging to the medical world.

A newly baby boy born with six legs in Karachi on April 16, 2012. Doctors in Pakistan are fighting to save the life of a baby boy born with six legs because of a rare genetic condition, hospital officials said.

The boy was born to the wife of an X-ray technician at last week, Jamal Raza, the director of National Institute of the Child Health in Karachi told reporters."It is not one baby actually. They are two, one of them is premature" he said. A doctor at the institute, who did not wish to be named, said the extra limbs were the result of a genetic disease which would affect only one in a million of children.
